Crowborough Tennis & Squash club's first racketball match! PDF Print E-mail

Crowborough's first racketball match!

Crowborough Tennis & Squash clubs Racketball Team have played their first ever competitive match as the newest members of the South East of England Racketball league.

On Tuesday the Crowborough  quartet of John Langworthy, Jonny Powell, David Neal and Rogor Tivey travelled to face an experienced Surrey Health & Rackets club at Esporta Croydon. On some unusually fast paced courts, the four singles all went to the Croydon side by a margin of 2-1 in each match. To complete the tie, the home side also took both doubles matches in convincing style! Crowborough team captain Rogor Tivey feels that despite the defeat, the experience has given his side a good benchmark as to the quality of opposition they can expect during the forthcoming season, and some food for thought around tactics for doubles play!

Crowborough entertain David Lloyd Dartford in their first home Racketball league fixture at the Church Road club on the 13th May 2009 at 7.45pm.
