Players will start to use a bigger court and therefore start to learn basic tennis tactics. The rules of a tiebreak will be reinforced; players will learn more complex technical skills as well as movement specific skills related to how a player should move around a tennis court.  Session: MT Orange 1 Age range: 7-9 Duration: 60mins Content: Players will develop further their tactical knowledge of the game, have very good fine motor skills, and start to individualise their technical game.  Session: MT Green   Age Range: 7-10  Duration: 90mins (60mins during week due to court space)  Content: Players will now play on a full size court, start to learn how to score a game (i.e. 15, 30, 40 ‘love’), learn how to use their strengths to win matches, develop their own game identity, and add technical skills to their game such as a slice second serve.  Session: Futures 2  Age Range: 9-11  Duration: 60mins  Content: Juniors will now be on hard balls. Match play will now be heavily involved, as well as the mental/physical side of the sport. Player’s technique will go through a transition phase to adapt to hitting the ball harder and with more spin.     Session: Futures 1  Age Range: 10-12 Duration: 90mins  Content: As with Futures 1, match play will be heavily involved. Techniques to adapt to different opponents/surfaces will be learnt as well as complicated technical skills (i.e. angled volleys, angled ground strokes). Players will start to have a regular pattern of tournament play.  Session: ATP  Age Range: 12-14  Duration: 90mins Content: Players in this squad will have a regular tournament programme and therefore the session will be tailored to the individual. The mental and physical side of the game will feature heavily in this session.  Session: Tournament Squad  Age Range: 14-18  Duration: 90mins  Content: Very much like ATP, this session will be tailored to the individual and will look at advanced technical, movement and mental skills needed to compete at a high level.    Explanation of the tier 2 coaching sessions Session: Beginner Basics   Age Range: 7-11yrs  Duration: 60mins Content: This session is aimed at the above age bracket who are new to tennis and need to learn the basic technical and tactical skills, as well as the rules. Players can then move across into the appropriate Mini-Tennis level when they have grasped these basics.  Session: Tennis Fundamentals  Age Range: 12-18yrs Duration: 60mins Content: This session will teach the above age bracket the fundamentals of the game through technical and tactical coaching. Match play will also be used to teach the scoring format plus the many complicated rules of the game. Juniors can then use their new skills to progress to Club Team Tennis, ATP or Tournament Squad. The opportunity of playing matches amongst other players both internally and externally for the club will be available once the fundamentals are learnt.       Session: Girls Squad  Age Range: 8-12 Duration: 60mins Content: This squad is aimed at girls who would rather play amongst other girls. The session will teach the basics needed to play tennis including the rules and involve lots of point and match play.  Session: Club Team Tennis Age Range: 12-18 Duration: 90mins Content: This session is aimed at players who have maybe left Tier 1 because they do not want to take their tennis so seriously but are still interested in improving and perhaps playing for one of the club teams.  Session: Teenage Hits Age Range: 12-18 Duration: 90mins Content: This session is aimed at teenagers who still enjoy tennis but would like to play in a more relaxed and informal atmosphere. The lessons would involve lots of match play/games, and would give the individual the choice of whether they would like technical advice.
