We offer an extensive range of coaching for both Adults and Juniors here at the club, which includes a winter and summer adult programme, term time junior coaching and Easter/summer junior camps.
Adult coaching The club runs sessions that are both coach and non-coach led which cater for all standards of players. Details of each session are below.
Rusty Rackets 1 Rusty Rackets 1 is designed for players who have not played for a long time or are new to tennis. The aim of these sessions is to build confidence through teaching the main strokes, playing in a fun environment and meeting others of a similar standard.
Rusty Rackets 2 This session is aimed at players who have learnt the fundamentals of the game but still need more refined technical and tactical advice. This session is also ideal for players who are of an intermediate standard. The fun and informal atmosphere of Rusty Rackets 1 is not lost either!
Ladies Doubles Training This is for members and non-members alike. The session will look at the many doubles tactics needed to become a more effective doubles player.
Shots and Tactics A session designed to look at improving the individual’s game, either through improving technical areas, tactical understanding or by using various basket fed and point play drills.
Club Afternoon/Night (not coach led) These popular free sessions are designed to allow members to mix with others for social tennis. A 'club' short set of doubles is played with the players mixing and changing afterwards - a great way to meet people within the club thus ideal for new members.
Ladies Morning (not coach led) Ladies Morning is a social get together aimed at the female tennis members of the club. Members play doubles in a friendly relaxed atmosphere with the tennis normally followed by a cup of coffee in the bar afterwards.
Men’s Super Vets (not coach led) Men's Super Vets is aimed at members who are 60 or over. The session is played in a very relaxed and informal manner with players swapping in and out of doubles play and is a great way to meet like-minded players of a similar standard.
